SDSU Game Sept 30th - Splooie99 - 07-14-2017 09:38 AM

Anyone planning on going to this game? I am planning on going and expect I will buy tickets from NIU if they are going to sell them.

Who's in?

How about a fan challenge? How many people will commit to going to SanDiego now IF the Huskies win in Lincoln the week before? It's a pretty safe bet you won't be packing your bags, but would anyone be willing to make that bet today?

How about this: People commit to going to San Diego if the Huskies beat Eastern Illinois?

I'll go to San Diego if The Huskies LOSE to Eastern Illinois.

If the Huskies play in Trinidad/Tobago, Samoa, Bora Bora, or Fiji, I'm there. San Diego? Meh.

I'll go if we have a new QB

I asked the ticket office if I could buy tickets for the SDSU game. They said they don't have any information on SDSU yet, and to call back August 1

Understand the ticket office is extremely short-handed, but "call back August 1" is not an acceptable answer!
You've got a --- 1) buyer, 2) alum, 3) loyal supporter, 4) fan, 5) someone with money or time to go to San Diego, 6) potential donor or a donor who may then give more or 7) all of the above contacting you and you suggest they get call you back at a later date? Seriously?
THE APPROPRIATE ANSWER SHOULD HAVE BEEN "If you would please be so nice as to share your name and phone number, I'll contact you as soon as we receive tickets for the San Diego State game. As a back-up, could you please share an e-mail or regular mail address so that we can make certain to get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for supporting the Huskies and please do call us whenever you have questions or believe we can be of help."
Short-handed or not, it's not like the number of times you'll get this type of phone call will be impossible to deal with. Take the info suggested above and stick it to your calendar, computer, someplace prominent and follow-up. It's called service, it's called making a sale! The purpose of the ticket office is to sell tickets.

I don't mean this as sarcastic, but is Sean Frazier actually trying to destroy NIU athletics? With intention? Reminds me of the movie Major league with the female owner. I never thought things at NIU would get this bad, never ever.

I'm there with my two kids at least. Hopefully bring some neighbors too. No excuse not to go, i'm only 60 miles away. I've been to all 3 painful Poinsettia Bowl games at Qualcomm. Whats the odds this years squad can pull out a victory in Qualcomm? San Diego has not been friendly to NIU but i'm there!! I'm up for hosting a potluck BBQ if anyone is interested.

It will be interesting seeing Qualcomm (if it is even going to be called that anymore) without all of the Chargers and other NFL trademarks decorating the stadium. Of course, I will have to see it on TV.

uiniu gave the perfect response.........NEVER let a customer get off the phone when wanting to buy something you sell (or will in the future) until you give them what they want or follow up to provide it when it becomes available.........Sales 101 who trains these folks answering the phone? That person need training too or needs to be replaced.

The purpose of my post was to inform others on this forum that the ticket office hopes to have information August 1st, not to judge the ticket office. Actually I found the individual I was speaking with to be very professional, helpful, and appreciative of my interest in NIU athletics. They actually apologized for not having information, that the issue is on SDSU's side.

Not surprised MD jumped on the train to hijack this thread about the SDSU game to make another negative judgment of Sean Frazier.

RE: SDSU Game Sept 30th - huskie1stdown - 07-14-2017 09:50 PM

San Diego has been a nightmare for the Huskies.
House of horrors.

RE: SDSU Game Sept 30th - Dtownboys - 07-14-2017 09:57 PM

The ticket office has always been bad about getting information on away games. Not just under Frazier but it does have to improve. I don't think they have tickets from sdsu yet though.
