It doesn't affect games already scheduled.

I wish Calexit would happen along with NEexit.

I fully expect the ninth district court to strike down this travel ban like they did the others.... (rolls eyes).

...and every state they've 'banned' state funded travel to needs to return the favor. This could get real good, real quick.

California with a travel ban? The irony is thick with this one.

RE: California bans state funded travel to TN - Tiger57 - 06-26-2017 12:53 PM

Does this mean their coaches can't fly to those states to recruit?

RE: California bans state funded travel to TN - bubbapt - 06-26-2017 01:20 PM

I can't imagine this would survive a lawsuit based on the interstate commerce clause.

What happens when the NC game in football is played in one of the banned states and USC makes it to the NC?

Southern Cal is private, so.

Plus you're not going to see NC sites in these states.

You could see one in Texas.

Not any longer, you won't.

At least not from the NCAA. The CFP might not care.

OK, but what happens when UCLA has to come to one of these states to play in the NCAA basketball tournament, like they did this year in Memphis?

The state allows for reimbursement to hosts set in place before June 2017 or whenever.

What you probably won't see going forward is the NCAA awarding Memphis hosting sites.

RE: California bans state funded travel to TN - snowtiger - 06-26-2017 02:54 PM

lol Gotta love California. Get with it or get hit with it

I agree. Make everybody come here. lol We rake in the dough and I get to see more games.

They aren't going to stop coming to those states because of California

RE: California bans state funded travel to TN - AlonsoWDC - 06-26-2017 03:02 PM

They already preemptively barred a populous state like NC from hosting in fear of what California has done.
