It isn't as if Gonzaga hasn't had their share of close calls and breaks. Let's just see how it plays out.

I'm going to say Gonzaga because while UNC is very talented individually they don't play great team basketball.

Gonzaga can impose their will on teams.

Carolina has picked a bad time to be playing their worst basketball of the year. Their shooting has been dreadful and their ball handling careless. Two of their best offensive players, Hicks and Berry, combined for only 3-26 last night. If not for their rebounding, they would have been out a long time ago.

They came from behind in 2 games, but with UK they lead the entire game until going cold from the 8 to 5 minute mark and then they blew a 7 point lead in the last 50 seconds before hitting the late basket. With Oregon they lead the whole 2nd half by as much as 10 and missed 4 free throws in a row in the closing seconds.

Good.

Sick of SC and Oregon ruining brackets. They had their fun. Well past their time to bow out.


Now for the title game, two #1 seeds, and I don't particularly care which wins. Just want a great game!

Carolina is a 2-point favorite over the Zags for tomorrow.

I'm picking Carolina to win tomorrow but I've been wrong about The Zags all tournament so .....

For a change they actually came up big in some spots.

I wouldn't say UNC doesn't play great team basketball. But the past few games, they haven't done it. If they don't find a way to get back to the way they played most of the season, it's hard to see them win tonight.

UNC getting dominated on the glass early. 12-7 at the under 12 timeout. big reason why it's 19-14 Gonzaga.
