Please tell me this is not true...

Like this would stop you guys. May as well tell Bison fans not to drink before the game...

You do realize there's beer available inside the stadium to the general public these past couple years, yes?
I've been posting this in a few places... I'm pretty confident this is due to how tight the seating is. Last year there were streamers clogging up the stairs in and out of the seats throughout the game. At least where I was in section 107. Toyota Stadium made no effort to assist in cleaning them up during the game and they just piled up.

With that said, as some on this board already know... don't be that guy that gets booted in the 1st quarter 03-wink

Me.. I'll just have a streamer or 2 in reserve waiting for that final whistle in the 4th quarter. Go Dukes!

Just making an analogy...and yes, I did know that.
Are they going to throw out the entire jmu section?

For the record, I have never been kicked out of any event in my entire life.

I imagine Toyota Stadium staff won't be ECU campus cops, so I should be good.

I guarantee people will only get booted once JMU starts pulling away & the Zizzzzzzzzzzzzzonz start realizing they're officially #2.
Last year, multiple warnings were given that streamers landing on the field of play would result in an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty being assessed. This did seem to curtail the long distance throws (for most dramatic effect) a bit, but did not stop them from being thrown at all.

That said, whether you'll get thrown out for having something that is prohibited, as opposed to illegal to possess, remains to be seen.
I'm all for violating arbitrary rules created because Bison fans whined, and I love streamers (thanks Dukester) like everyone, but there is no tradition worth a 15-yarder that hurts the team in a game like this. We'll roll the hell out of the lot and yes, I'm all for bringing a couple in for the final whistle.

Ok, never checking this thread again ha.
We won't unload streamers onto the sidelines all game long. And if people do, they should go. However, I will throw one or two streamers for all of our 17 touchdowns on 1/6. 03-wink
I wonder if ESPN gave the stadium some 'input' after we covered their cameramen in streamers last year.

Nah, more likely the cleanup crew bitched about it. They were there long after the celebration was over.

Are there any good substitutes or additonal things they haven’t outlawed yet? How about confetti? Wont go as far I guess, but technically not streamers.

Can they toss 500 people at once?

The clean up crew is bitching? Ha! That makes sense.

Just claim you were pulling out your keys from your pocket and by mistake the streamer slipped out of your hand down about 40 rows. Woopsie. You have a medical condition and had it in your pocket as emergency TP if needed.

The JMU side ran out of beer early, so come prepared.

One more thing, if you are paying hundreds of bucks to get in the stadium, then I think you should get a personal concessions vendor assigned to throw your streamer for you.
Chattanooga said no problem, Bring as many as you want.

Wonder is if JMU is trying to get this changed.

I’d think and hope so.

That is part of JMU football.

No traditions allowed in Frisco?
