Well at least the Tigers play Wichita St at home. Hope they can win games against weaker opponents to be above .500 mark.
If we could somehow catch them all off guard and beat that team....... o lordy.

Missed you, snow!
Quote:In addition to renewing the long-standing rivalry with Wichita State, the Tigers home conference schedule will also see Houston, UConn, Cincinnati, UCF, East Carolina, Tulsa, Tulane and USF visit FedExForum this winter for home games in the AAC for the 2017-18 season.

NOTE: In the new AAC scheduling model for men's basketball, each team will play seven of its 11 opponents twice, and its four remaining opponents once each, two at home and two away. Houston and Wichita State are the two home-only opponents for Memphis, while SMU and Temple are the two road-only opponents. The Tigers will play the remaining seven schools both at home and on the road during the season.

Agree, although there is a surprising degree of disparity among some Tiger fans about the results expected from a very good team.
I am very optimistic about this season.

I'm mildly optimistic. We should do a poll. 02-13-banana

The article reminded me that our SMU defeat under Tubby was the worst in 70 years.

No way... did you read the RPI's of most of those teams? We will win 20+ games easily. If not Tubby needs to be ran out of town.

Who is going to score for us? It's too much of a mystery right now.

Tubby incurred a wider defeat margin at TTU (45 points, IIRC). Hopefully, 30 points plus losses will not be normalized at Memphis. It is terrible enough suffering two season ending defeats by 41 and 30 points, respectively.

Respectfully, you miss the point. I understand that 45 and 41 point defeats at outliers for Tubby, but were disastrous nevertheless.
