CINCINNATI

PROJECTED STARTERS:

PG - Cane Broome, 6-1 160 JR (Sacred Heart transfer, averaged 23 PPG as SO)
SG - Jarron Cumberland, 6-5 218 SO (19.1 MPG, 8.3 PPG, 2.4 RPG, 1.5 APG, .355 3P%)
SF - Jacob Evans, 6-6 210 JR (31.6 MPG, 13.5 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 2.7 APG, .418 3P%)
PF - Gary Clark, 6-8 225 SR (28.6 MPG, 10.8 PPG, 7.9 RPG, 1.2 BPG, .529 FG%)
C - Kyle Washington, 6-9 230 SR (24.7 MPG, 12.9 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 1.2 BPG, .357 3P%)

OTHER KEY RETURNING PLAYERS:

Justin Jenifer, 5-10 175 JR PG (12.7 MPG, 2.8 PPG, 1.9 APG, 0.5 SPG, .378 3P%)
Nysier Brooks, 6-11 240 SO C (8.5 MPG, 2.4 PPG, 1.6 RPG, 0.7 BPG, .528 FG%)
Tre Scott, 6-8 225 SO F (10.2 MPG, 3.1 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 0.5 SPG, .500 FG%)
Quadri Moore, 6-9 230 SR F (8.0 MPG, 2.9 PPG, 1.4 RPG, 0.3 APG, .789 FT%)

NEWCOMERS:

Keith Williams, 6-5 190 FR G/F (247 #167 ***)
Trevor Moore, 6-5 195 FR G/F (247 #310 ***)
Eliel Nsoseme, 6-9 195 FR C (247 #380 ***)

KEY LOSSES:

Troy Caupain -- Starting point guard, 1st-team All-AAC as junior, 2nd-team as senior
Kevin Johnson -- Starting shooting guard and defensive specialist
Tulsa loses senior Pat Birt and two players to be named later (recruited over). They add Curran Scott (transfer from UNCC) who averaged 10.5 points and 2 assists per game at Charlotte on 45% shooting (44% 3-pointers), Daquan Jeffries who played at ORU as a freshman and played JUCO last year, Elijah Joiner from Chicago Curie, and Darien Jackson from Overland Park Kansas.

The only starters that I think are set in stone are Sterling Taplin at point, Junior Etou and Martins Igbanu at forward. I think there will be a lot of competition at SG and Wing.
Wichita State loses Senior Walk-ons JR Simon and Zach Bush. Adds JUCO AA PG and a Danish 7' center.

Wait, am I too soon? But seriously, everyone else is back.
Sterling Brown and Ben Moore

Gain Jimmy Whitt a transfer from Arkansas and we are on some great graduate transfers

Seems like Semi is staying (for now)

Freshman coming in are good too
Houston will probably sign a couple more players, so it's hard to say.

We lose Dotson (1st team All-Conference) and several relatively ineffective big men (Knowles, Nkali, Meyer, Dupree). All five will get their degree, or already have it.

We might lose more.

If I had to guess, the two jucos we signed in November will start.

PG Galen Robinson (two year starter)
SG Rob Gray (American leading scorer)
WG Gabe Grant (juco)
PF Devin Davis (talented but injury prone)
C Breaon Brady (juco)

But Armoni Brooks and Wes Van Beck will play a bunch in the backcourt. The coaches are also high on the two freshman White (PF) and Adewunmi (Wing). Both are rated Top 20 in the state of Texas.
Memphis
Returning
PG: Jeremiah Martin/Keon Clergeot
SG:Markel Crawford
SF:J. Rivers
PF/C: Kareem Azab

Mysteries ???
KJ Lawson
Dedric Lawson

Loses
Christian Kesse
Chad Rykhoek
Jake McDowell
Craig Randall II

Incoming Recruits
CG:Jamal Johnson 3/4*
SF: David Nickleberry 3*
PF: Victor Enoh 3*

We are looking to fill 5 potential spots with grads and jucos. Cleaning house now
Nobody that matters. Lebo will still be there.
The Tigers are in a state of flux (even Crawford is not a sure return). The roster snapshot taken today is an under development draft version of the final result. It is very possible that Memphis will have less overall talent next season than this season.

However, it is almost certain Tubby will be the Tiger coach. I hope he can figure out how to avoid late season swoons and 30+ points blowouts.

Can't wait to see Cumberland after another year in the strength and conditioning program. Wouldn't be surprised if he led UC in scoring next year.
UCF - Cliffs - return everyone valuable except Matt, bring in a ton of exciting transfers and get a couple guys back from redshirt injuries

Returnees:
BJ Taylor - Starter
Tacko Fall - Starter
AJ Davis - Starter
Chad Brown
Chance McSpadden -- sitting out with injury

Loses:
Tank Efianayi - limited minutes due to injury to end the year
Matt Williams - elite shooter
Nick Banyard

Newcomers:
Terell Allen - transfer from Drexel
Ceasar Dejesus - Redshirt
Dayon Griffin - Transfer from LA Tech
Aubrey Dawkins - Transfer from Michigan
Rokas Ulvydas - Transfer from Texas Tech
Kani Coles - Freshman signee
Myles Douglas - Freshman signee
Daniel LEwis - Freshman signee
The big losses for ECU are Caleb White and Andre Washington, who were 2 of our top 3 guys in minutes played.

We'll have to wait and see who transfers.
Temple Loses:
Daniel Dingle SF- 12.6 PPG 38% 3pt
Mark Williams- PF 6.1 PPG
Mike Robbins SF- Former Walk-on that played sparingly

Honestly, Mark Williams is addition by subtraction.

Temple Returns:
Starters
PG R-SR Josh Brown- Redshirt this year due to injury. Big addition.
SG JR. Shizz Alston.- Took a huge step forward this year
SF SO. Quinton Rose- 1st Team All-AAC Freshman Team
PF SR Obi Enechionya- Needs to put a whole season together.
C SO Damion Moore- Showed get promise. Needs to improve on defensive end.

Bench
PG SO Alani Moore- Offensive spark plug off of bench
C JR. Ernest Aflakpui- Consistent defensive presence.
SG SR Isaiah Lewis- Hasn't contributed
SG R-SO Ayan Nunez Carvalho- Argentinian G. May see some minutes next year.

Recruits
Temple is bringing in 4 pretty strong recruits. This may be considered Dunphy's best class on paper. I expect Moorman and Perry to contribute immediately. Pierre-Louis might as well.
PG/SG Nate Pierre-Louis Offers
SF Dre Perry Offers
SF JP Moorman Offers
PF/C Justyn Hamilton Offers

Because Johnny Dawkins son (Aubrey) is suppose to go off scholarship next year to be classified as a walk on, that will give Coach an "extra" scholarship to use and he is looking for another big if possible.

I can see an argument for Magnay getting healthy and developing further over the summer and possibly taking that spot but as of right now Igbanu has the spot and the skills to do well there on both ends. Who do you see that could replace Taplin in the lineup? Joiner might push for Wheeler's or Birt's spot but he's not a point even though he does have a good handle.

The kid from KC could compete for that starting PG spot. It will just depend on how consistent Taplin is, and how quickly the KC kid can adapt to the college level. Technically, he's our "best" ranked recruit though.
