Secretary of State Antony Blinken then continued with the tone-deafness by posting on X about giving $157 million in humanitarian response...to Lebanon, and how they were "committed to supporting those in need and delivering essential aid to displaced citizens." That got eight million views on X, with virtually all the people ripping Blinken for being tone-deaf.

But that wasn't all. You also had this clueless post from Samantha Power, who is currently the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). She wants us to know how "Americans" [translate: the Biden administration with our money] are keeping the lights and heat on in Ukraine:

More than 200 people have died due to Hurricane Helene in this country. Some are still missing, power is still out in many places, roads have been washed out and people have been cut off, but this is what she posts? What about transformers for the hurricane-affected areas?

Private citizens and organizations, including people like Elon Musk, have been jumping in to help because the need is so great; there are all kinds of questions about the government's response.
