Listen, I get that tensions are running high, and that this is perhaps the most consequential election in our lifetimes. But that doesn’t mean violence and vandalism are OK. My neighbors—who I like quite a lot –have a Harris-Walz sign in their front yard. While I might fantasize about setting it on fire, I would never do such a thing because that is antithetical to who we are as a people. Leftists, however, feel it’s just fine to burn down anything that goes against their worldview.

But now this guy has discovered the hard way that actions have consquences. I can guess at what my punhappy colleague Ward Clark might say: “These Trump supporters nailed it.”

And indeed they did.

Now, one of my colleagues argues that the video is fake: “I think there’s about zero chance that that video of the ‘Trump hater’ isn’t staged. The woman giggles at the end she’d be livid as well, and I’m pretty sure that that guy has been in other videos.” Several social media posters agreed, with one writing, “Still wearing a mask was the overkill.” I don’t have the answer to that, but I would argue that the mask-wearing was not “overkill”—I see freaks every day wearing double masks and still hanging on to the COVID era as it was their fondest memory:

Whether it’s 100 percent genuine or not is open to interpretation, but it’s still funny. In the (paraphrased) words of disgraced CBS News anchor Dan Rather, “it could be true.” We see so much unhinged behavior by leftists that driving over Trump signs hardly seems like a stretch.

I can only hope Karma visits them as well.

This video might be staged, but at the same time, I can believe something like what's being depicted happens. Regardless, as much as I don't like laughing at other people's misery, I can't help but laugh at this. God forgive me, but that is funny.

There have been other "Trump-sign vandals" caught on hidden camera, which does give this one more credence.

Wearing masks is somewhat common in Asia, even before Covid. However, my co-worker who wore one recently explained that she was feeling a little ill, didn't want to spread germs, and it was not particular to Covid. Our doctor recommended to not get treated for Covid, as it is not dangerous, and the treatment is the same for any raspatory viral infection. Getting a "positive covid test" would just scare people.

For years wearing a mask when you have a common cold is considered just good manners in the Asian community.

When I lived in SoCal and traveled to Westminster which is a heavily Asian town in Orange County, masks were everywhere. I finally asked why and was told "good manners." That was 20 years ago.

The masks are usually paper surgical masks.
