Far-left blogger suspended from X after doxing JD Vance by releasing Iran-hacked pers
Quote:A leftist blogger was suspended from X after releasing an internal campaign vetting dossier on Senator JD Vance. Ken Klippenstein, a leftist blogger who worked at the Intercept and The Young Turks, released the 271-page document that it believed to have been obtained by Iran after the government hacked the Trump campaign. The Post Millennial will not be linking to the document as it doxxes Vance's personal and private information.

Klippenstein's X account has since been temporarily suspected for violating the platform's rules on hacked materials.

KlipNews, which links in its X bio Klippenstein's Substack account, wrote following the suspension, "In publishing so-called 'private information,' there was no act of 'doxing.' There was no malicious intent and the principle stands, that by deleting anything, Ken Klippenstein would just affirm the government's claim that perfectly unclassified information should be routinely withheld from the public."

"The information is not "private" at all, since it can be readily purchased from Lexis Nexis. One could make the same argument that Vance's investments is equally private, but of course they are not because he is an elected official and public figure," the post continued. A follow-up post added, "To be clear, Ken Klippenstein did not publish any private information on X. He linked to an article he wrote which linked to a document."

The dossier contains tons of private information of the vice-presidential candidate, including his physical addresses, personal phone number, social security number, and private email addresses. Klippenstein did not make any effort to conceal the private information of the Ohio Senator.

The document is a fairly straight-forward camping vetting document, which lists past positions of Vance and details some of this early opposition to Trump in 2016. Throughout the vetting file, it does not appear to be a huge expose on Vance, however, the release of his private information, which may lead to threats on him or his family, is a large concern.

Vance is not portrayed as a radical throughout the document, but as someone who is more thoughtful and has reasoned through his positions in politics.

The release of the documents comes as there have been heightened threats against the Trump-Vance ticket in general, with two assassination attempts on Trump in the last few months as well as other threats looming from Iran that the GOP nominee spoke about this week.

The release of the dossier adds the pile of potential threats against the top of the Republican party ticket.

That is a crime, which is why X probably acted swiftly.

You can not publish PII info. That includes publishing something that links to the PII info. He will face prosecution AFTER the Trump 47 DOJ gets put in place.
