Hey C-USA fans, I smell a rivalry brewing between UCF and ECU. Maybe this is something your conference needs. I wish both schools luck, and to be honest with you, spending some time in Florida and NC, I would say that ECU's fan base and support is more than UCF's, USF's, FAU's, JU's, SU's and FIU's combined.

Wow, one whole year of y'all beating us in football and twice in hoops (against 2 coaches in their first year at ECU)... and that constitutes the Pirates being UCF's "b#tch".

Golden Knights have taken "setting the bar low" to a whole new level. Y'all amaze me with the garbage that comes out of your mouths while having accomplished so little.

Maybe you missed the fact that UCF won CUSA East and hosted the CUSA Championship game in front of over 52,000 fans. That is dream material for ECU fans. You guys go nuts when you play an opponent "close".

Face it, ECU has not won anything since joining CUSA in football. UCF accomplished more in one year than ECU has ever come close to.
I love how you losers ignore that fact. Don't worry though, there is always "next year" when ECU will be unbeatable. lmfao lmfao

UCF attendance
Just a note, but the night Marshall played at UCF, there was hardly an empty seat in that 5,000-plus gym, but the official attendance was listed at only 2,871. Steve Cotton and I both thought the announced attendance would be in the 4,000-4,500 range, so maybe the problem with the attendance is in the counting of sold, season and student tickets.

Campbell BTW has went to the NCAA tourney from that same conference just for perspective (or the trans whatever they were in) They probably have 3000 students and aren't even really in a town, (it has like 1 gas station)and the gym they play was probably built in the 1930's and holds they say about 900 but that is BS. It's unbelievable as the local high school would put it to shame. The seats are steel fold up chairs!!!!! We will not even go play them there, we play on a neutral site in Fayetteville if we ever play them or at home. You should be able to out recruit schools like this and beat them.

Also you beat UTEP with out Tofi, I don't know how much you can put into that, they aren't the same team with out him.

Well, that same ASUN league we won the previous two years has Gardner Webb. You should know them as they are the team that smoked you guys two years in a row on your court. Campbell never won Asun. They lost every conference game last year. You are in such a hurry to try and find something to talk crap about you arent even sure of what you're saying.

How many years ago was that? ECU is also the team that made the miracle choke in blowing a 38-8 halftime lead to Marshall in the Mobile Bowl. It was the biggest choke job in bowl history. I mean really, how does any team blow a 38-8 halftime lead? It was a fitting beginning to ECU football as we know it now. lmfao

WRONG. UCF finished 2nd in C-USA last year. So have the Pirates... 3 times to be exact. UCF has been to a bowl game. ECU has been to three.

Nice try though.

Nice try yourself. With the advent of two divisions, there are division champions, of which UCF is one. ECU was second when there were no divisions and based on that, UCF was the regular season champ in CUSA. Something ECU has NEVER done.
Spin it Pirates all you want to, but ECU football is a thing of the past and UCF football is a thing of the present and future.

UTEP is the sports franchise in El Paso. We have absoluelty nothing else, except the shamefully bad independent league baseball team. El Paso is also part of the largest international metropolitan area in the world, with over 2,000,000 people abiding in El Paso and Jaurez, Mx. With all of that, El Paso is notorious for having band-wagon fans. If you win, they will come, If you don't they will not. The Don seat 12,500, meaning there is an averae of 3000 empty seats on any given night, and we are a winning team. I officially extend the invitation to all attendence cellar-dwellers to come and fill up those 3000 seats. Shoot, you can even stay at my beach front property, of course, there is no water.

lmfao lmfao lmfao You people are too much. Second place is second place, no matter how you get there. Last year UCF finished 2nd in C-USA. Otherwise y'all wouldn't have been out in Hawaii losing to Nevada.

Keep dreaming about ECU being a thing of the past. Skip has got us ship shape and ready to ravage the open seas once again. 5-6 ain't great for year one, but it beats 0-11. The man ALREADY has a better winning percentage at ECU than O'LIARy has at the University of Commuters in Florida. And that ain't going to change going forward.

I hope you chumps enjoyed your 15 minutes.

Frame of reference -- that's an embarassingly low attendance figure for Tulsa. It's our lowest in quite some time. Coming off two horrible years and going through another rebuilding season, I guess that's to be expected. Once we get it going, we'll be back up around 8000 again. Capacity of our arena is 8355, so we'll probably never do better than 3rd in attendance unless UTEP really takes a dive (which I don't see happening).

UAB and Houston fans -- let's make a pact, the three of us, to grow our attendance by a few thousand to where it should be. Dangit, if we're going to be perennial NCAA tournament teams, we need to draw better.

UTEP was drawing 6,000 3 years ago. They could take a dive, it happened before and you could take them.
To be honest, I'd rather not. I'd rather both teams were drawing close to capacity for the good of the programs and the league. 04-rock
Yup, and history says it is very unlikely to happen. Here are UTEP's attendance averages since the Don Haskins center opened.

Very impressive! I only see 3 or 4 decent teams in your home schedule and yet you guys still finished 2nd in attendance. In football UTEP finished first and Memphis 2nd. When it comes to fan support Memphis and UTEP are at a whole different level than the rest of us.

That's funny "Wait till next year" is what George O'LIARy must be saying when comparing his winning percentage to Skip's.

The University of Commuters in Florida SUCKS.... one stinkin' year don't change that.

One stinkin year that Eastern Carolina fans would have died for in football.
As much as you guys mouth over a 5-6 season, God help us if you ever actually have a winning season again.
As for O'Leary, he took a 0-11 season and went 8-3 the next year. Just imagine, he did that without any UCF fans crying about "wait until next year."

So in other words, Skip is ahead of the O'LIARy curve and expectations are higher at ECU than at the University of Commuters in Florida.

We can finally agree on something, Golden Knight.

As far your statement that UCF's year in '05 was a year that ECU fans would "die for in football"???? Not quite, chief. Second place and a bowl game? You must be kidding. We Pirates have been there done that, and we set the bar higher than that at East Carolina.

When the Generic Knights finish in the Top 10 (or Top 25 for that matter) come back and talk to us. Until then??? You might want to quit with the "UCF had a season Pirate fans would die for" talk.
