Owl#s in the ICU at St Luke's Hospital in The Woodlands. He has been there since Sunday night (Sept 15). My sense is that he is in for quite a battle.

The ICU visiting hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 8:00-8:45 PM. I paid him a visit last night and he was sleeping, highly sedated.

I don't know much more than that, but feel free to call or text or message me if you'd like.

Any update on #s?

I had a text exchange with his wife yesterday. Much better news from #s.

He had been battling pneumonia, and it progressed to him being placed into ICU and on a ventilator, as well as him being heavily sedated.

As of this yesterday morning he is off the ventilator, and was responding to his environment in an alert manner later yesterday afternoon. Still very weak, but it looks like he has turned the corner. But he still has a way to go.

Thanks for the update.

He is out of the "ICU jail" (as he put it) and in a regular room. I talked to him by phone this afternoon. He knows he has a battle ahead and is grateful for everyone's good thoughts.

I visited him again on Saturday afternoon. It turns out that his room is actually still in the ICU, but his condition is much improved. We talked, watched college football, and he complained a bit about the food. He think he will be transferring to an in-patient rehab facility in the coming week. He is grateful for everyone's good wishes!
