Connor Hellebuyck is going to win his 3rd vezina, yet he can't get the jets out of the first round. Unbelievable.
I don't think they can get past Dallas in Round 2, but credit to Montgomery for getting them to believe and getting them there.....wait...Winnipeg's Namestnikov just scored with 1:06 left...they have a chance to send it to OT...

Oilers set NHL Playoff Record with 5th Straight Comeback Win
Quote:LAS VEGAS -- What appeared to be another slow start became another comeback win for the Edmonton Oilers in the postseason.
Allowing two goals within the first 10 minutes created the illusion that the Oilers could once again fall to open a series. Instead? They scored four unanswered goals in a 4-2 win Tuesday against the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference semifinals at T-Mobile Arena.
For the Oilers, not only was it their fifth consecutive comeback win this postseason but it was also the first time in nearly a calendar year that they won the first game of a series.
Reilly Smith, amazing last-second goal, but it's still a 1-2 series with another home game for Edmonton. Credit goes to William Karlsson for not giving up on the play in waning secons as you can see McDavid going throught the motions near the goal and allowing Karlsson and Smith to make the play. Corey Perry would have been called for interference on Karlsson if not

It's all 2's and 3's left, no No. 1 seeds...yet these are definitely the best teams playing right now. West Conf Final looks like a war. Can't tell who will win. In east, I'd give Fla a slight edge, after the way they played last night when it really mattered. Should be fantastic hockey in both series.
Vegas postmortem: too many guys way too hurt to have a chance against the Oilers. Even if healthy, Edmonton is very good...goaltending being their only shaky area at the moment. Heck, even against the Wild, Vegas struggled to a series win. Flower officially retires, thanks Mark-Andre!
I went to game 2 between Florida and us. I didn't like how we came out handling the puck from passes and we looked uncoordinated. Can't let the Panthers get up 2-0 heading to Florida. I expect a much better effort and play tonight in game 2. Chatty being out and Morrow over Nikishin probably didn't help matters when you are facing a team like Florida speed and experience wise.
These guys had some killer deals on Adidas jerseys.... I'm probably not in the market right now for any but... I've heard positive reviews of their company and quality of their merch so...

...is it over?
Man...
I am not used to seeing us get owned 3 games in a row. Florida is good/great, and you don't get to the Stanely Cup finals 2 years in a row by being so so. My problem is we aren't playing like we are supposed to and are getting owned at the same time. That last game, to get it to 1-1.... then sh* the bed after and get destroyed... Tonight tells me a lot about this team and roster.
The offseason is going to be interesting because we are going to have to retool with some better/top end talent if getting passed the ECF's is the end game.
amazing comeback by the Panthers...didn't get too rattled by their shaky first period. Three Cup Finals in a row. Can Edmonton join them again? Making Dallas look like a non-factor so far...but if it goes to 7...theres DeBoer...(the ANC's least favorite NHL coach, as it turns out they sing songs against him)....

I think I'd rather Florida win just because it might lessen the blow if we lost to the eventual champs.
Then again, it would be cool to see Edmonton win it.

Refs doing what they can to prevent the inevitable.
