You Had Better Read This Enforcement Statement: Dissembling and Flaming:
Any remark in a thread which is not about the OP is a violation because it is off topic. Personal attacks in any thread are a disruption. Moving the goalposts on arguments in articles, or any comment which is off topic, is Dissembling, but Dissembling can be any intentional or deliberate effort to obscure the topic for discussion.
Until the election is over you will keep your remarks pertinent to the topic.
You will refrain from direct attacks on other posters.
If you don't you will receive one verbal warning, one % second warning, and then you will be banned for the duration of the election.
This goes for right and left, Democrat and Republican, Liberal and Conservative.
If you think you can skate by because we've been friendly or buddies, you are dead wrong.
If you think you can whine and accuse me of bias, you will be dead wrong.
Dissembling is a way during elections to obscure talking points you don't want made against your party. It is a political ploy in forums to run out the clock by covering important details and developments with pages of nonsense.
If you make a violating post, it will be removed. Do it three times and you will be banned.
I know there are other moderators here, but I can moderate anywhere, especially in their absence.
If you see someone conducting personal attacks report the post and I'll deal with it. If they are dissembling with off topic remarks or endless asinine arguments, I'll deal with it.
If they call you dumb, stupid, idiot or something else which has been tolerated here for as long as I can remember but address the topic and you respond in kind but address the topic, I'll be lenient. If it is a drive by insult, I won't be.
Now for the duration of the election those are my rules when I have to deal with reported posts on this forum and since I'm around almost every day it will be consistent, swift, and final.
And yes, it was a reported post which prompted this response.
