I had not been involved in this thread, at all, so your comment is not relevant, like most of your others. RWT fat-ass makes an argument that Trump does not understand retirement. I served 14 active years in the Navy, and rebuked Jenny Craig's failure at calling retirement prior to 20 years of active service based upon actual military website definitions of retirement. If you want to gain any measure of respect from me, then challenge my remarks on the basis of merit from actual military sources. Otherwise, go consume a very fibrious collection of male reproductive organs until you cannot breathe properly. And when you respond with nothing of value, like I fully expect, be prepared for similar GFY response from me. Lots of tread off of my tires, boy, so FAFO.
ODU, this thread meandered all around. If you are insulted that I didnt 'challenge' or address your comments on retirement issue -- then my apologies for not addressing them. I dont interject in every aspect of threads, mind. If you noticed -- there was sub-thread about our exit from Afghanistan I didnt comment on. For the record the manner in which the Biden administration orchestrated that was terrible.
I have no basis, nor any knowledge to challenge your comments on them. I knew you were long time military, so I assumed, and still assume, you know them far better than myself.
For 14 years in the military -- thank you. As I said earlier in this thread, I have the ultimate respect for those that don the uniform for us. And even more so in this day and age of the volunteer forces.
And back to the apparent beef you have with me -- again, I dont respond to each and every post in these things. I dont understand the virulent response launched at me from you --- if you wanted a response from me on your retirement issues at the outset, maybe you could have asked for a response.
My response is that I am clueless on those issues. I am only the thinnest notion aware that one is within their rights to leave prior to their commitment ending after some longer period of time, but the top level of the military can kibosh it if they think they are short of particular skill sets. Iirc correctly, they can even do so at the end of a commitment -- one of my friends stints was extended in that manner (he was an intelligence officer in the reserves, he had submitted a resignation, but was extended due to a need for deployment).
I didnt interact with you in the slightest -- so I was surprised at the blindside antagonistic attack. To be honest, the nature of this board is to attack in that manner at people they simply dont like the position of. That is their right to do. Effective? Maybe, maybe not. My policy is to, even those that seemingly are verbal ***** to me on an ongoing, basis, if they interact in a non-ad hom manner, I will do the same. If you want to continue in a civil manner -- Im game.
I appreciate your clarification above. I still dont understand the personal attack launched with me. And I hate to tell you -- you might be really surprised at most of my political leanings aside from Trump being a fing slug and having the ethical nature of a brown recluse.
And yes, I am sorry if you think x-dressers (another topic that this thread wandered into) dont deserve basic legal services. I dont give a flip what my clients choose to wear for the most part. It doesnt affect me in the slightest. Nor does it impact my respect of that person for wearing the uniform — anyone who serves, as you did, earns my respect for that service, as you do.
And I hate to tell you, I just may not respond to every comment you make. I probably will if we are directly talking, or if a comment you make is directly pertinent to one that I have said. I havent made any comment on the retirement issue.
