God bless the WAC...our closest thing to a Rival is Fresno St. I think the animosity is because of some of the desparaging words some have had for Tech on this board...these flame threads are meant for them only. I would love to have a series in football with USM. I think it would be well attended for both sides. But, I guess we'll have to wait for the Big East to make a move if anything like that is going to happen. I like USM and I'm very impressed with their athletic program. I think they're a good model for Tech to follow...and hopefully, one day, they'll be our conference rival.

To think LaTech football compares with USM football is hilarious. USM has 12 straight winning seasons. Lousy Tech is 5-5-2 over that span. USM has four conference championships. Lousy Tech has one conference championship with a 7-5 record. USM has been to nine bowls in the last ten years. Lousy Tech has been to one.
So shut the #$# up until you recognize that Lousy Tech is nowhere near USM's equal. I won't even bring up how pitiful your support and financial revenues are.

Dude it ain't about what you used to do. You said we were envious of S. Miss and to that I say why. We are NOW performing at the same and in some cases better than you are. I could care less about what you have done in the past. FN great. All I know is we spend less but put better teams out there this year in every sport than you. I hardly think we need to envy you. Be glad we weren't in CUSA this year because one of those 6-5 spots that you were given would have gone to a better Tech team. It's your conference we envy not Southern Miss.
