Trump v Harris will depend on Trump staying on point, on issues, and not being goaded to the personal crap.

Going after Trump for his gaffes, it's clear to me now, is a losing strategy when directed at his base. MAGA is not interested in respectability, decorum and clearly stated policy. They want a person like them, who appears strong, who attacks the people they hate and who speaks in a language they understand, whether that language is the truth or not, or whether his words make sense or not.

I would think the response from the debate had made this clear. Trump "won" by spouting his gish gallop confidently whereas Biden lost because his age became too much to overcome.

One things for sure, it takes a whole bunch of really weird people for a weird person like Trump to find success this way.

She LET criminals get off scot free
