My campaigning effort
Me and the wife eat out way to much, about six nights a week. I have begun adding “Trump 2024 - No tax on tips!” To every receipt I sign. In honesty, it’s fairly meaningless here, I eat in WV, OH and KY, 3 states Trump should crush, but if you live in a state that will be closer then every vote helps.

The "no tax on tips" seems like a gimmick. As someone who routinely hires from the service industry, bartenders in Nashville are bringing home $100,000+ a year making $2.13 an hour from their employer. I myself was a bartender for 7 years and it's crazy to me that they don't think they should have to pay income tax on tips.

Well I agree with that in principle. But while that system is in place whether your income comes from your employer or gratuities you should pay taxes on it.

RE: My campaigning effort
Trump ain't stupid, he knows that the money service workers make from tips will generate more money because they will be spending it and not investing like some do. Why do you think the NRA and the CCC were so popular? They were spending it. You spend it and the government gets more taxes through jobs. It's not like the Demonics think of things like that they only want money through the IRS from your paycheck.

Well, most restaurants are still understaffed since COVID, maybe getting to keep all the tips creates more workers for the industry.

Additionally, to me tips are gifts and should be exempt. I also agree that SS shouldn’t be taxed. I do my MIL taxes and it’s a pain.

Be careful, you can really pack on the pounds eating out that much.

That food tends to have 300% more calories in it than similar home cooked meals.

Oh, I know. I usually have toast and a banana for breakfast and the. Eat dinner. I eat a lot of steaks and salads out, so even with too much bread I only eat about 1,400 calories a day. That allows me to splurge on my sweet tooth from time to time.

My nephew is a bartender at a hotel in Nashville. I've been worried about that boy since he was young but as of now he has more money stashed back than I do. He is knocking down well over 100k a year, not just in tips either. He has set up a consultancy and trains bar staff for other bars across Nashville. And I thought he was mildly retarded for years, lol.

I naively thought SS wasn't taxable and the first year I collected it I didn't pay taxes on it. It wasn't a big deal but it was enough to open my eyes.

IMO it is inherently unfair and even usurious to collect taxes on money that was collected in the form of a tax that will be taxed yet again when it is spent.

My one dollar was taxed when I earned it, taxed when I collected it from SS and taxed when I spent it. WTF??

If it wasn't for this damn sweet tooth of mine that also loves bread I would have lost that last 10 pounds of belly years ago. I weigh between 180 and 190 at any given time. When I lay off the sweets and watch my portion sizes I'll drop down to 180 and my belly doesn't look terrible, as soon as I fall back into the old habits of eating bread and sweets I shoot up to 190 and can see my belly hanging over my waistline.

At one time I topped out at 210. One morning I realized I was having to hold my breath to lean over and tie my shoes. I started working out and eating properly and
dropped back down to a lean 169 pounds. I felt great and looked great - to the extent that's possible. As soon as I broke 170 I pretty much stopped and here I am 4-5 years later and 15-20 pounds heavier.

Think I’ll start as well even though I have a better chance of playing in the NFL than Kamala does of winning Tennessee. I wear my MAGA hat all the time. People tell me all the time “I like your hat” and lots of them are women. Even a few 20something women.

I know a girl who’s made 100k + bartending for years. Drives a Yukon that she paid cash for. She’s amazing at her job though. Knows what all the regulars drink and has it ready as soon as she seems them hit the door.
