Jeff Bridges was one of the celebrities in the Zoom call. Lloyd Bridges was his father -- and the one you were thinking about. I get it though. He's a nepobaby. (God, I hate that term.)

Actually, now that I think about it, I saw quite a few "nepobabies" on that call. Sean Astin was on there with the aforementioned Jeff Bridges. Like I said, there were quite a few of them there, but those are the two that stand out at the moment.

Lloyd Bridges was a recovering Communist. Testified to HUAC as a friendly witness in the early 1950s. And while I salute him for turning his back on the Communists, his political views still remained somewhere between Left and Far Left. But I’ll be the first to admit that even a “Far Left” American born in 1913 might very well be horrified by any of the things that pass for mainstream liberal viewpoints in 2024. Lloyd Bridges died in 1998 and there’s no way to know how he’d feel about “transgender” and other such delicacies of the 21st Century.
