Really?
Staying away from a Marxist ideology keeps you from losing voters?
DEI is nothing more than an acronym to disguise a socialist wealth redistribution scheme.
Anyone who believes in this communist garbage isn't voting for Trump anyway. It is incumbent on EVERY conservative candidate to get the real DEI message out to boomers and older generation X voters.
The Didn't Earn It ideology might play well in liberal states like New York and California but swing state voters in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania don't support that garbage.
When our enemy complains about us targeting anything, you don't stop the attack, you double down.
His is a typical response from fence sitting Gen Xr's. They think the left can be reasoned with and that true compromises can be gained. Even before they went full marx the left's idea of compromise is an arrangement in which they get everything they negotiate for while their opponent get's nothing. There is no compromise on any issue that the modern democrat party endorses or supports as far as I'm concerned. They have exceeded the limits of what is reasonable behavior in an ordered society.
I'm trying to convince my own adult children that the existential threat of their lifetime will be when we lose this republic of ours to communism. There are elements HARD at work trying to affect those results as I sit here typing. They are well funded, they are well organized and they are mobilized. Both of my adult children take the position that they just want to get on with living their lives and besides, what can they do?
My son is extremely intelligent and a very effective public speaker, he is articulate as hell and our new VP nominee reminds me of him. I've told him what he can do
*, he's just too lazy to do it, or maybe he just isn't sure about how to get started, I don't know. Anyone looking for a way to become involved can find and join associations of like minded people, run for a school board spot, run for any kind of public office at the local level, change is most possible at that level, I truly believe that, find boards on which to run for a position, become a poll watcher, become a neighborhood canvasser, etc et al.
I think he lacks the ability to project current events onto the fabric of our future as a country, I think many of them do. I did when I was their age. Call it apathy, perhaps borne of frustration, but apathy nonetheless.
Our world is a scary place now, more than at any other time in my life. I never felt this threatened even as I hid under a desk at school or sat in the hallway with my head pulled down between my knees back in the 60's. I'm ready to disembark and head on to my next iteration.
Note
* I should heed my own advice here but I can rationalize away why I don't.
