So we just had another attempt on "Trump's life, and we are so divided as a country that one side of the political spectrum on here disappeared as soon as it was verified.

They want to argue about ducks and earrings and photo ops, but go silent on a real assassination attempt, after first trying to discount it. I'm not picking on specific posters, just saying it's a sad commentary on the state of our country.

I am convinced that if this attempt had somehow been successful, some on the left in our country would be cheering out loud.

Honest question. Have we ever been this divided since the Civil War? I have to think not. Not by a long shot.

This is not going in a good direction, however long a new war would last.
