RE: “Not a single Fortune 500 CEO supports Trump”
grasping at straws: the act of making a desperate attempt to find a solution or a way out of a difficult situation, often without a clear plan or a solid foundation. This idiomatic expression is often used to describe a situation where someone is trying to find any possible solution, no matter how unlikely or ineffective it may be.

The rule for saving someone who is drowning is to NOT grab on to them as they will drag you under with them as well.
Mensa is grasping and trying to latch on to anything possible at this point.

Quote:Billionaire tech and media mogul Elon Musk says it is possible he will endorse a candidate for president before this fall’s general election ...
“I may, in the final stretch, endorse a candidate, but I don’t know yet,” Musk told former CNN anchor Don Lemon as part of an interview the pundit published Monday. “I want to make a considered decision before the election, and if I do decide to endorse a candidate, then I will explain exactly why.”

“Not a single Fortune 500 CEO supports Trump”
Corporations benefit from the current economic climate. Main Street was decimated by the shutdowns and made consumers order from big box retailers because they had the capacity to deliver items in a timely manner.
Trump doesn’t hate corporations, but his previous agenda helped small businesses pre COVID. It’s also not brave to come out against Trump. They do it to avoid negative PR

Sonnenfeld joined CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin on Monday to discuss a New York Times op-ed in which Sonnenfeld noted Trump’s lack of support among the CEOs he works with. Sonnenfeld is the senior associate dean for leadership at the Yale School of Management.
Sonnenfeld wrote in his op-ed:
I know this because I work with roughly 1,000 chief executives a year, running a school for them, which I started 35 years ago, and I speak with business leaders almost every day. Our surveys show that 60 to 70 percent of them are registered Republicans.
The reality is that the top corporate leaders working today, like many Americans, aren’t entirely comfortable with either Mr. Trump or President Biden. But they largely like — or at least can tolerate — one of them. They truly fear the other.
Sonnenfeld told Sorkin on Monday that roughly 70% of Fortune 500 CEOs are Republican, but that does not mean they will be supporting the former president, arguing his response to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and the 2017 Charlottesville Unite the Right rally lost him any chance of public support from these business leaders.
My guess is not a single top 500 CEO wants anyone to know they support Trump for fear of the backlash. That backlash could take the form of negative treatment by the fake news, or unfair treatment by a weaponized regulatory agency, or even unfair prosecution and jail time by the goose stepping Biden Administration DOJ. That said, if 70% of these top-500 CEOs are really Republican, why are so many of these companies widely reflecting so many radical leftists progressive policies? Based on that alone, I reject the claim that 70% of these CEO’s are “Republican”.

CEO’s love cheap labor.
They know DJT is going to send their slaves back to whatever 3rd world hellhole they crawled out of.
And those are the rich people he’s going to make “pay their fair share”.

So we're supposed to actually believe that F500 CEOs are gullible enough to believe the fake news of J6 and Charlottesville.
I find that seriously difficult to believe.

Like many others, I am very skeptical that what the OP claims is true.
But hopefully the media will run with this story as far as it can, because if word gets out that all the F500 CEO’s are anti-Trump, he will wind up winning in a landslide. Even states like Colorado would be close.
