Not to make light of any infractions. But the NCAA has a double standard that when I see something of this nature it just appears to be petty.

The fact that for years any coach could talk to any foreign player anytime they wanted and make offers any time they wanted didn't matter that had played professionally and had won money for their play.

Yet, the same NCAA held Americans to a different standard. Certain allotted times and having not been involved in any type of paid event.

Top, it off with the first three players you compete against as an 18 yr old freshman are in their mid twenties and having played professionally for at least five years.

NCAA is a joke.

I fear the NCAA is so P5 focused that everything else is going to go to the dogs.

NCAA is a joke.

European countries would make most (if they already haven’t) of what the NCAA has done in regards to amateurism illegal. Also, American professional leagues already cannot have teams in European countries and have a player draft.

It’s not so much that the NCAA holds foreigners to a different standard, it’s that they HAVE TO treat foreigners differently.

At this point, the distinction should be blurred, there should be equal treatment. But that does not lead to schools at the WAC level gaining any advantage on bigger schools; it’ll be more professional than it already is.
