My white trash checkbook resents you saying that.

Me too.

I only know this because my Aunt is all into that stuff and has done the research. Me personally could give a fat rat's tail what my family members did 150 years ago. 03-wink

I've been researching for 25 years. If someone wanted to get paid they were there for the Muster Rolls and sometimes soldiers would run off and it would be noted in a report. From what I can tell the South kept decent records. The South wasn't someone that kept crappy records.

As do I, which is not uncommon in a border state like Kentucky.

I am eligible to join The Sons of Confederate Veterans and The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War through either side of my family.

With that being said I don’t understand today’s hate for either side of “The War of Northern Aggression” as my Grandmother called.

CSA soldiers were eligible for veterans benefits through the state governments after the Civil War. If government can reconcile with the men who fought against The Union, we should be able to do that as well.

I'm in the same boat, just haven't done it yet.

The Confederate Pension files are neat as far as their service and later things in their life.

Right now I'm looking at old Court records in the old record books for Pemiscot County,MO. I'm just looking for information on someone.

I don't. CSA wasn't culturally distinct from the USA. CSA people were actually Americans. They spoke the same language, all were descended from the same people (former colonists of British Empire). F'em - they were on the wrong side of history. Why favor a bunch of losers? Besides, they cost the U.S. a lot of money by fighting in the first place. Just a bunch of Slavo-homos.

Absolutely culturally distiinct. Still are. Also and had its own declaration of independence

Wrong side of history. Retard statement the filth have injected into language History is history.

I got you losers right here chester

360,222 Union deaths
258,000 Confederate deaths (not my ancestor)

Congrats

Not culturally distinct. All Americans before the Civil War and afterwards. Gross waste of people and treasure over some faux nobility who wanted to preserve their own power.

Wrong

A case of special pleading I see...
