Impressive victory. A well earned national title.

Thanks, Bill. It almost doesn’t feel real still, I’m not sure we’ve ever had a team this dominant. As ecstatic as I am we won again, I’m going to be sad to see a lot of these guys go. Newton, Spencer, Castle and Clingan are all players I’ve loved watching that will definitely be gone. I’m thinking and hoping Karaban stays, he will be key to helping establish the culture and be a great offense again next year. Ditto for Diarra.

If we keep Ball, Stewart, Johnson and the aforementioned players, then pull some good guys in the portal, we will be a good and potentially elite team again next season. Hoping Ross and Roumoglou stick around too

UConn might not be "as good" next year, but the Huskies should still be top 10 material and have a shot at the Final Four. Hurley has a culture and system in place. He knows how to teach both offense and defense — and is now, without question, among the five to 10 best coaches in the game. He has made a believer of me.

Basketball season has ended and it's time to focus on baseball, my good man (though UConn seems down this season). As a Vanderbilt fan, I finally have something to cheer about, as the Commodore baseball team is 26-7 after beating Middle Tennessee State (my alma mater) 14-1 today.

04-cheers

Being in FL, I have not remotely followed UConn baseball this season lol. I know we are usually good, and the Big East overall is fairly weak (was a point people noted on the AAC board after we left), but other than that I know next to nothing about college baseball.

This tends to be a dead time of the year for me, in terms of college sports. I’ll use the next month or so to follow recruiting news and see who we get in the portal. Then swap over to following the football preseason and next years recruiting class over the summer. But there are many points in that period of time where I will be bored waiting for new news, lol

Big East baseball is likely better than some AAC folks want to admit. But on a national level, it is so-so (though this year, the league is doing rather well). BE baseball clearly is not "power level" like BE hoops. But Big Ten baseball is not particularly "power level" either. League affiliation is not as big a deal in college baseball.

UConn baseball, specifically, is typically "nationally relevant."

Enjoy the offseason, my good man!

You as well sir! 04-cheers
