Also, on-campus watch party at the Patterson Center, beginning at 2:45pm on Friday.

This is the 2nd time this academic year that Rice Athletics has sponsored a bus to a game. They also had transportation from Houston to DFW for the bowl game. I give kudos to the athletic department for this level of support. I think this type of initiative to engender and reward fan loyalty by the department is a real positive sign.

Now we need our fans to take advantage of the offer! Rice fans have a history of NOT enthusiastically responding to these sorts of group travel opportunities. A positive change in that regard (even if incremental) would be good thing, if we want the opportunities to continue.
