Toledo kicks us off with a ? sticker! Man what a league when the top seed losses to the 8 after losing to us just a few weeks ago. Parity or pathetic?

I mean, is it really a surprise? We were terrible and missing six scholarship players and we beat them on the road. Other top MAC teams like Kent St, Ohio, and Akron had no problem with us.

Ever the optimist, that could be NIU next year. Being the #1 ousted by the #8. No, wait! Being the #8 ousting the #1!!! Which is more optimistic?

The 2nd top 4 MAC team to go down. Bowling Green with their new coach taking the team from 5-13 last season to 10-8 this year. Showing NIU what if, could have been!

Didn't Akron lose to Eastern Michigan?

In reality, Akron and Toledo were the best teams in the MAC (and it wasn't all that close) but the MAC sucked hard this year and being the best of a sh!tty group just means you're better than a sh!tty group and not necessarily all that good.

Both teams had flaws and were susceptible to a bad game and a loss to anyone in the conference.

Only team we played that I was really impressed with was Akron, and I'm probably blinded by the shellacking they gave us at home to open conference play. Freeman in the post bodied Konan all night, Ali Ali was back, and they had good guard play.

Yeah, and Freeman is a guy who shouldn't even be in college basketball and he just abused our sophomore center.

But they are probably the best team I saw as well but they're still beatable and if they lose today or tomorrow....it won't surprise me.

Groce is by far the best coach in the MAC. He was successful at U of I, just not up to National level like they expect.

Steal for Akron to hire him when they did.

If 22 points was a shellacking what was the beat down by 38 points from Kent?

Kent lost to Akron by 1 point on an unforced error by Kent. Kent had a 1 point lead with a few seconds left, it appears the Kent guard intentionally fouled Akron on an inbound pass. Kent coach went nuts. Highlight on ESPN.
