A lot to like early for Rice. Passing has been crisp, defense has been disciplined. Big early lead that probably should be bigger with some early misses on good looks. Rice up 9-3 with Ngulefac going to the line for one.

18-3 Rice. Domination so far. Refs letting a lot of contact go and it's really helping Rice defensively, but we've been excellent regardless.

ECU can't make a thing right now. Some okay looks but Rice contesting everything. And love how the refs are calling the game. Lot of contact inside on both ends and very few whistles.

Fisher is frustrating in that she turns down decent jumpers and gets in the body of defenders, which doesn't seem to work most of the time. Like she's not a great jump shooter, but I have to think a semi-contested 15-footer is a higher percentage look than some of the shots she gets.

Rice lead down to 13 and ECU employing some pressing and trapping. Not a lot of shooting on the floor for Rice right now.

Jazzy with too many mistakes. Edmonds quickly puts Jackson back in. 20-9

Owens-Barnett with a bad couple of minutes and Edmonds immediately goes back to Jackson. Really bold call with her fouls. Rice lead down to 11.

Fisher with a big 3 to snap a Rice scoreless drought. Then Gooden picks up a steal pressuring the ECU inbdounds. Fisher with another jumper and the Rice lead is back up to 25-9. Massive minute there.

ECU has 14 points and 6 of them have been from banked in 3s. Rice up 28-14.

Jackson and Fisher to the bench with 1:45 left in the 2Q. Rice up 28-15. Huge 2 minutes here.

And Owens-Barnett hits a massive 3. Awesome response after the quick hook earlier.

Meanwhile, Bokunewicz has missed two decent looks and gotten beaten on a backdoor cut. Not good in limited minutes.

Rice up 34-17 at the half. Bokunewicz makes me eat my words and hits a 3. There were some sloppy stretches but overall really, really solid two quarters of basketball. Unless I'm forgetting somebody, everyone who has seen the floor has positively contributed at some point.
