Sounds like bench assistant Josh Loeffler is a favorite to land the Loyola-Maryland job and is being considered for the William and Mary job.

Add Louisville to the carousel. ESPN's Borzello speculates they'll make a play for Scott Drew and if/when that fails take a look at dealing with Mick's buyout before turning to Dusty May if he doesn't take the Ohio St. job.

Then their 4th choice, Sean Miller will come to town.

Porter Moser seems to have closed the door on DePaul. I've seen reports Andy Kennedy is involved and that Chris Holtman is interested.

Could be. I think he might be a harder sell to the fanbase right now given their record this year unless they somehow make a run. I think there will be a lot of overlap between UL and OSU vying for many of the same candidates.

I don't think they go X again.

Has Jay Wright closed the door on coaching? If not, I would open the vault to try to lure him back into coaching.

Watching bench dynamics and his interaction with Wes and the UC players, Loeffler has not seemed to be much of a net positive on in-game coaching or strategy or results. For better or worse, the UC roundball team is Wes's show and the assistants seem to be more involved in recruiting and behind the scenes activity and less on Wes's reliance on them for some particular in-game knowledge or experience that they may bring to the table.

He said the reason he retired was that he lost his edge. Just didn't want to do any of it anymore. That's even with a final 4 in his last season.

At 62, I can't see him finding an edge for a rebuild.

Loeffler is constantly in Wes's ear during games.

This is brutal. Why would the AD send her out there after letting her go?

I can see her agreeing to do it with an eye to her next job, but to ask her to is not right.

If Loeffler leaves, it will be interesting to see what direction Wes goes. Arguably, he could hire better today as a rising program in the nation's best conference with some fine young talent on board and inbound.

My buddy just texted me a screenshot from somewhere claiming that Huggs is Louisvilles #1 target.

Glad to see I wasn’t the only one to think that. 03-lmfao

As others have said, the AD or an associate AD should have taken the presser.

Day by day, Wes Miller's contract extension is looking better and better.
