Senior day MBB vs UNT
We are honoring four ‘seniors’ tomorrow night vs UNT - Cam Sheffield, Alem Huseinovic (who may return for a fifth year next year), Travis Evee and Max Fiedler. I will post some crazy stats on Evee and Fiedler later. We really need to come out in force tomorrow and show our appreciation to those two in particular.

Sheffield graduating in three years is news to me. I don’t know his future plans. He may stay at Rice in a graduate program but he has two years of eligibility left - somewhere. We are not including Selden in the tweet but he is a graduate who probably is also playing his final collegiate regular season game tomorrow.

Evee is sixth in the nation in career three pointers (382), and seventh in career points (1 behind Zach Edey of Purdue).

Fiedler is the only player in NCAA D1 history with at least 1000 points and rebounds, 500 assists and 100 blocks and steals. He is first all time at Rice in rebounds, assists, games played, field goal percentage and second in blocks.

Both guys have been tremendous ambassadors of Rice athletics and deserve your support tonight.

Foot injury. He has two years of eligibility left and wants to play here. But he needs to get healthy first.

Not going to beat a dead horse and rant anymore. The basketball season that had so much promise was a total disaster. I am sure Scott Pera is a very good person, well liked by both current and former players. The last post asked an interesting question that reveals a problem. After 30 games we still did not know why Cam had not played. I know that players medical issues have to be protected. But ask yourselves how many D 1 programs would not at least let their fans know about a players status of playing for an entire season. If Pera or the basketball program announced he had a season ending injury,I apologize that I missed it. That is why I bitched all season about all the James Harden updates but nothing about one of our expected starters.
