Excellent interview recorded earlier today with Dr. Steinbrecher on a DT Sports segment titled "Commissioner Corner."

The interview with Steinbrecher begins at the 1 hr. 20 minute mark and runs for approximately 25 minutes. Around five minutes into the interview Steinbrecher talks about the UMass add and is asked about potentially going to 14.

Listen carefully to his response and apply the criteria (checking the boxes) the MAC used to invite UMass to any other potential members currently in the FBS.

The fact that Dr. Steinbrecher had an answer ready to go on how happy he would be to stay at 13 tells me he really wants to keep his cards close to his vest.

We have the double bye and 4th seed in the A10T. Hope we raise all boats, or at least the top 4 teams spending in MACtion. Can't wait to be part of the conference. Think we'll surprise some folks in football and will bring some good teams to the conference. Thanks for voting us in!!

Yes that is a good point.

Another point I'd like to make is the MAC has something to offer on the expansion front that other conferences do not....a new TV contract and possibly a GOR that would add value to that new TV contract.

CUSA doesn't have that kind of upside and may be back to losing schools soon.
