Wes has clearly closed the gap on playing time with Jizzle. If he or Dan leave it won't be about playing time. They both know they will get large mins next year.

His minutes have increased but he got 28 minutes because Dan didn’t play.

If I’m Wes I’m telling Jizzle he’s my starter next year but my fear is he’s not going to do that. If a high major coach that’s put dudes in the NBA calls Jizzle and says come start for me next year, seems like it would be hard to say no.

K I’ll drop it until after the season. I just love Jizzle James so much.

Everyone is so negative. Wes has been such a good recruiter here and the players seem to love him. And we have a segment of fans paranoid our most talented guys came here to abandon ship at their first chance.

The refs called out of bounds on UC when a KC state player clearly hacked/pushed Vic from behind, worst call I've seen in a while.

Rewatching the game rn. The officials are so bad it's borderline criminal. The Simas concussion play was clearly a foul. The JNIII box out was called a foul. KState eventually started making shots but the refs kept them in this game for sure.

Watching a replay, this is one of the best versions of the Bearcats i've seen this season:

Lahkin contributing with boards and a handful of buckets.
Day Day with a good game
JNIII with a good game
Simas with a good game.
Aziz with dunks and defense
Good contributions from Jizzle and Reed.

And all without Dan. i realize kstate is bad but the refs levelled things out. if we get this type of production from our guys, we can definitely win on the road against OK.

OK I made my yearly pilgrimage to a game last night. I could tell that even when we were up by 12 in the second half the arena was afraid to get going because it seems everyone was just bracing for the lead to be lost. And sure enough, everyone was right.

And once again, that three pointer to put them ahead with a minute left was a complete snow job. Again, we seem to draw out the best in other players.

Simas made the clutchest shot we've had... in a lonnnnnng time.

#13 for K State was an absolute monster. Didnt help that the refs let him do whatever he wanted.

Noted several travels on KState that were not called.

All B12 refs suck but the black dude seemed to have something against us. If there was any discretion to be had at all, he was giving it to KState.

I saw a prior post that said Skillings was out with a hip injury. I didn't see any gimpiness in his gait.

Disappointed that KState didn't wear the lavenders.

I was listening to the game on the radio, and even Dan Hoard was waiting for the inevitable UC collapse. All game long, he and Terry Nelson were commenting that every time all season a shot block or a rebound goes out to the three point line, the other team picks it up and makes a three. And Dan once announced something to the effect of, "And Tyler Perry takes a deep contested three ... and I don't have to tell you it went in."

I was probably among them...until the men in stripes decided with .2 seconds remaining, that the game was over. The officiating was strange, uneven, and if you didn't know the venue you'd swear UC was playing on the road with the foul discrepancy.

With that said, it was a much needed win for this season, especially in the face of much adversity between the fouls and the injuries.

Finally, I continue to be perplexed by people's obsession that Jizzle, Dan or others might be leaving. Is there any factual basis for this? Have any of these guys, or their parents or guardians suggested they're unhappy? Players can move about as never before but that doesn't mean any of these guys intend to abandon Wes or their teammates or the best conference ever in college basketball. If they do, they do and we move on. I just don't look for that to happen.

I skipped this one to watch rugby. Glad they got the W that they were expected to get. Beat Oklahoma on the road and it could get interesting for bubble watching.

And Oklahoma isn't all that and a bag of chips.

sometimes i FEEL that CWM wants to be buddies with the players and doesn't want to hurt feelings. He better figure out a plan next year on using day day and jizzle together more to up the minutes. Otherwise it will be disastrous to lose some of the player in the transfer port. Hopes our top freshman recruit doesn't leave because he was redshirted the entire season.

Miller hasn't lost anyone to date that bothered me - have to assume he knows what he's doing. The roster has improved every year

UC is eventually bound to lose a great talent to the portal. It's the way it is now. The staff has to be constantly recruiting not only future players, but also the current players.

Every time there is a big play and the camera flashes to the bench Rayvon is jumping up and down and ecstatic.

We (esp Day Day) nd to be aware when the other team is in the bonus and what to do in those situations. He made some of the worst D plays Sat. You don’t guard tight nearly 30 feet from the basket when the other team is in the bonus, and the person you are guarding is a 91% FT shooter. How many FT did that dude get in the last 3 min of the half?? 6/6??

Dude was cold and Everyone knows a shooter can get going by taking it to the cup or getting to the line.

i don't know how the game was flowing but Tylor Perry is the guy that shot 90%+ from the FT and he started to warm up in the second half. Guy ended up 6/8 from three and 7/10 overall (6/6 from the line). He was the only one consistently making shots. it's kinda dammed if you do, dammed if you don't, especially the way the refs were calling it.

Honestly, if i'm going to criticize Coach and the team for anything, it's for not trying to get him in foul trouble. He's 5'11. We needed to get a switch onto him and post him. We don't make other teams scorers play enough defense. We need to work them on that end.

Agree that it would be nice and something to work on for sure, though he did seem to get away with a lot of contact when our guys drive at him, the same crap we got called for, but he got the Jordan treatment.

I don't care if you call touch fouls or let them play. Just be consistent. When one team can drive and get cheap fouls and the other team does the same stuff and nothing is called, that is what drives me crazy.

Dude was feeling it. That crazy 3 he hit with hand in face at end of shot clock he snapped his wrist back after firing it up there like saying...that **** is going in and there's nothing you can do about it.
