Jones, in an interview with Ted, talked about the schedule and getting it to where they want it. Said that contractually it can't happen immediately, but that we will see some of it this upcoming season.

Does this imply even MJ thinks the JJ schedules were intentionally weak?

Thanks enjoyed it with the morning coffee. I loved that he is a Monarch to the core.

I would say, yes. MJ probably will play some P5, even it starts out away. To me that is a way of getting ODU’s mentioned more, nationally. With MJ’s connections, I don’t see a problem. For next year, he has JJ’s leftover CAA, etc. however. He still could have maybe one, next year. MJ has good vibes with Va. Tech & Maryland, and maybe, UVA. To put it another way, he is well respected in the ACC.
When it comes to schedules, I believe everyone including the staff, fans, players and admin wants to play more P5's (I hate that term) home and/or away. Unfortunately, in today's college athletics world, all mid-major's (I hate that term too) hands are tied. Some conferences don't allow their teams to play at mid-majors and some wouldn't if they could. We can't make teams play here like Lindenwood or SC Upstate can't make us play at their place. I wish it was different and like the old days when we would have UNC, Georgetown, Syracuse, etc. to come us, but I don't see that happening very often if at all anymore. We will just have to beat them at their place, on a neutral court and in the NCAA tourney.

We recorded that late last week. So it was technically last weekend. The staff will be at the final four this week for the coaches convention.
All I can really say is all 3 visits went well. Afterall, I’m trying to lock down the bball show for season 3 and spilling the beans would not be a good impression this early on.

Thank YOU! You have said enough !!!
Thanks to M13 & company. I have listen to a many's of MJ’s comments. I was very impressed on how he spoke and the national exposure, he has in connections with so many coaches for recruiting purposes. The fact that he has been on both sides, is a tremendous asset. Lastly, having two coaches, who have over seas exposure is a different a plus.
Did a little research on the new transfer center from Maryland. 6’10 but only 220 pounds. He only got a small amount of playing time with the Terps and although he did exhibit some bright spots, his numbers were understandably low. Apparently he has issues with fouling as well.
I guess we will see what Odell can do with this kid but I would not be surprised at all if we see significant improvement in his game. First stop the weight room, second stop the cafeteria.
