Career game for JD. I don't believe he exceeded 90 pitches in any game last season. Struck out five of the last 6 batters faced.
W, 1-0, 9.0 IP, 6 hits, 1 run, 1 BB, 11 Ks, 124 pitches (1.26 ERA on season).
That's Rice's first complete game since 2019.
Offense needs to focus on making contact and cutting down on the strikeouts, especially with runners in scoring position and less than two outs. And Jose has to get off his bunting kick. It's NOT working, aside from being idiotic.

Nice win. And series win too.
I think ? That is our first road NC series win since taking 2 of 3 at Arizona in 2015? We won two of three at a UCF tournament in 2018 (with one road win, but splitting two neutral games).
Although there hasn’t been a ton of these types of series.

Of course, after tomorrow we've got 4 games against LSU and Stanford.

12 Ks for the Owls, 5 looking. 9 runners LOB. Owls were a not great 3-13 with runners in scoring position, but better than ULL's 0-9. On the positive side, the Owls were 3-5 with the bases loaded.

Stanford is off to a miserable start this year.
