Anytime you got money in the program, you’re allowed to feel however you want. As long as you keep it relative to the on-court product and the job title.

I’m gonna run my mouth about a coach’s name being linked to a job, no matter who it is. In-season definitely isnt the time to whore yourself and neither is halfway through the offseason. You have an obligation to your job, your team until the season is over.

The rice game didn’t look like we prepared for them nor did it look like we cared about what was at stake. We mailed it in and went thru the motions. That pisses me off knowing what I spend on season tickets. That Rice game was Bullsh**.

I'm going to come to Answer's defense and say I've never seen him call a player dumb or lazy. Maybe something they do on the court or field that's dumb or lazy, but not the person themselves. There's a difference. What happens on this message board likely happens on every other fan message board in America, if not the world. Actually, it probably happens less here than a lot of others. You guys that get on your moral high horse over stuff said on a message board need to chill. It's not that deep.

I’ve never said any UAB player is dumb off the court, insulted their intelligence, their character, talked about them personally, etc. I definitely don’t think I’ve called anyone lazy. Again, maybe some stuff they’ve done on the court is lazy, but being lazy is absolutely antithetical to being a D1 athlete. It shouldn’t be that hard to understand. The small group of UAB fans on here collectively has very thin skin, and a lot of people can’t handle any negativity towards the athletics programs, even when it is 1000% warranted.

I’ve praised EG and AK and others when it’s warranted. I’m man enough to admit when someone does well and deserves praise, even though I tend to be more negative on the board.

Yes this board is so much tamer than basically any other board I’ve ever seen, but the people on here clutch their pearls and complain about it more than any fan base I’ve seen.

I’ve had things said to me on the UAB PICK UP courts that absolutely pales in comparison to the worst thing said on here.

EG’s the sloppiest player I’ve ever seen play college basketball. Hes done things in different games that have made completely different people that have no serious relation to UAB basketball all unanimously say, “boy, that was dumb.” He’s still a damn good player and has done really well over the last few weeks. He could be an honor student and get into med school next year for all I know. I’m not insulting him as a person. Same for anyone else I say anything about. Things aren’t so black and white.

Feel however you want. That’s not what we’re discussing.

But it is overbearingly negative. At some point, that fact has got to sink in. You seem to lack the situational awareness to ever consider that stating the same criticism over and over and over is something anyone needs or wants to hear. Considering it “truth” in your eyes doesn’t excuse a Rain Man-like obsession with repetition.

I prefer to focus on positive, informative and comical things about our Blazers rather then reading the same old predictable rants about a group of imperfect but mostly impressive college students played in a GAME! For certain everyone has the right to say what they want within the guidelines of BlazerTalk. I enjoy looking at the links included with this forum. I usually skip the negative and repetitive comments about our coaches and players. I'll read some negative blurbs about our administrators as they seem to make decisions that are not based on the principles and values I hold dear to my heart. Fire Ray Watts!

For the record and in case it was not obvious, I only posted this because I thought it was silly. I see no way coach Kennedy will go to DePaul unless he can teleport back in time to the early 80s.

FWIW, the Athletic did not include AK on their list of possible candidates.
