Constantly posting new threads says more about the OP than it does penny or the situation.

Yup, its a painful lesson but I think Penny has learned now two things. 1. Can't have a team that is led by freshman, and 2. Can't have a team that is essentially all dudes from portal. The sweet spot is somewhere in the middle and whether Penny can navigate in the current atmosphere who knows. The blueprint is that 08 team with the Laurinburg guys and D-Rose. We'll prob never see a team as complete as that one though. TBH not sure there will be a team that well built ever again.

Of course not but a team built like that will have the highest probable success rate possible. Not saying its the only way or even a fair way to judge because that team, again, was a juggernaut.

That team didn't become great just by talent alone. It became great in part because Cal got after them everyday and during games whenever mistakes were made. Players weren't just taken out of the game, they were cursed out of the game. It seemed like to me he was running a boot camp over there. That is what is lacking with this team. It has arguably just as much talent as 2008, just lacking in the discipline.

Ha, no doubt. Two of my fav things Cal said was 1. Telling Joey if he can't dunk it don't shoot it, and 2. I don't care if you shoot a bad shot but it better go in because if it doesn't you're out. Another thing I used to love is a guy would shoot a dumb shot and Cal would go grab someone off the bench then that guy would make a great defensive play and Cal would grab the other guy and put him back on the bench.
