After coming off a disappointing game against GaSt (seem to be the Dukes krptonite these days) the Dukes face a 8-18, 2-11 in conference CCU team on Saturday which will be Senior Day. The Chanticleers are on a 3 game skid after losing to ODU in Norfolk this past Wednesday. Hopefully the Dukes can get off the scheid and put forth a goof all around effort to grab a win.

Hopefully Sousha and Bristow are OK and will be able to play.

It’s Senior Day. According to social media there are three - Carole Miller, Amira Williams and Hevynne Bristow. I believe CM is a grad student so this is her last year of eligibility. Does anyone know about AW & HB? Are we still under COVID years that they have the opportunity to return?

I can’t believe this is the last home game. This season has flown by!

This schedule is messed up, man, FOUR road games at the end of it? Who did this to us?

Not sure that Hevynne and Amira have the opportunity to return. We'll see. I just hope Hevynne is OK to play, but I kind of doubt it after that fall (shove) she took Thursday.

Team just came out for warmups and Sousha is in a boot on one of those wheely trike cart thingee. Bristow is in a boot also. All others are dressed but Amira is not taking part in the warmup drills

Several things at play here. One is that we were without two of our best players, so that required some adjustment. The second is that when you play a team as bad as the beach chickens, who can't get out of their own way, it's kind of hard for anyone else to get out of their way either! I'm guessing that Coach is still trying to figure out a combination that works without Ksusha and Hevynne, and that may take some doing. At least the refs were not as totally hopeless as they were in the GA State game, so there's that. On the bright side, this was probably Annalicia's best game. She had a double-double.

We were looking over the Coastal roster and noted that almost all the players were freshmen. Those that weren't were JUCO transfers, grad transfers, or transfers from another school. Do they have a new coach and that's why this is the case? That might explain why they are so disorganized.

Yes. He is in his 2nd year trying to rebuild the team.

You'd think he would have fewer freshmen and more sophomores, but oh well.
