I feel like his stock has dropped this season. I would be surprised if we don’t see him back next season.

His play really hasn’t been that great during a good part of the season. He definitely has things he could use some work on.

It’ll be interesting to see how many return next year. I’m thinking with the chance to dance with conference membership, much of the roster will return. The team really needs a decent big. Any chance the Bewley brothers suit up next season?

I think most of the heart of this team will be back. There are lots of reasons to return and a lot of play for. I would think Chicago State has a good chance of getting some very good players who may have a single year of eligibility and want the best chance they can find to make it to the tournament.

The Bewleys- As far as I know, their NCAA decision is final. However, with the NCAA it seems like there are appeals or lawsuits that change “final” sometimes. If they could gain eligibility, I do think there is a good chance they play for Chicago State (versus a different school). But I’d say the chances are very low they will ever play in college.

But about Cardet- it would do him a lot of good to play on a good team and be able to thrive as a player without having to try to do it all. It would make him a better player. Yeah, his slashing and driving can be fun to watch (at first, for a little while…) but it’s better as an OPTION instead of the entire offense.

If you step back, this really has been a fairly good season for this team amidst all the confusion and discouragement of being the only independent. And they can never take the Northwestern win away from us. On paper everyone returns (I am sure that not all will). The prospect of being able to be instantly competitive in the NEC has to mean something. Possibly Coach can get an entre into recruiting in the northeastern part of the country. Lots of positives going forward.
