Season long thread about Big Ten women's basketball.

Of course you can't talk about Big Ten women's basketball without talking about the one and only Caitlin Clark and Iowa. But Ohio State beat Iowa earlier this season and they are tied atop the Big Ten standings with Ohio State losing to Michigan. Iowa also lost to Kansas State while Ohio State lost in non conference to both USC and UCLA. Indiana lost twice, both to Iowa and Ohio State earlier today. and also lost to Stanford in non conference. Iowa has to travel to Indiana and Ohio State to Iowa. Indiana and Ohio State only play once this year. Ohio State last year beat UConn in the NCAA Tournament.

Another team to possibly look for is my Penn State Lady Lions. They are in fourth place and are looking to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014.

The bottom of the Big Ten is pretty bad. Four teams have losing overall records. By contrast only one men's basketball team currently has a losing overall record. Rutgers is 7-17.

Clark currently ice cold from 3 pt. 0-9, and only 4 points. She is making up for her lack of scoring a bit with 8 assists in the 1st half.

Iowa has stepped up while Clark has been off so far.

Probably because the Big East sucks. Paige almost outscored Marquette by herself and Aliyah Edwards didn't even play. But UConn lost almost every other top game outside of the Big East. Notre Dame came into UConn and embarrassed them this year.

It's going to be tough. Tennessee was a buzzer beater away from doing it though. Iowa did it last year but they had their own problems with a lot worse teams this year.

Ohio State should be playing Paige Bueckers in the Sweet 16 so I don't know if I can root for them but I will say Jacy Sheldon might be the 2nd best looking girl in women's basketball:) She's also easy to root for because of her sister Emmy who has Down's Syndrome.

Indiana has the unenviable task of playing undefeated South Carolina in the next round. Iowa was spared a third game with Kansas State, a team that beat them, and will play Colorado instead. Colorado beat LSU in their first game this season.

Caitlin of course is setting record number of fans watching in her games.
