How would we even "finish it" if we went to this war? We could militarily defeat their army and overthrow their government, done that several times in the region, but if "finishing it" requires having a US friendly government in place that could stand up on it's own before we left that's unfinishable.

If Old Foggy's military performs like they did getting out of Afghanistan, it won't fare well.
