Is Gavin Wilkinson the Art Briles of Soccer?

Without launching into a political diatribe, I'll just say that it appears that he was fired for doing his job and has now been blackballed for the same offense. I'd actually say that this is far more egregious than the Briles case. There was a lot of smoke around Briles, and Baylor decided to fire EVERYBODY in that decision-making chain, then they released the entire unedited report in a scorched earth move. All Gavin Wilkinson did was give a guy a positive reference and make a few moves that he thought were in the best interested of helping his team win. I bet there are NBA, NFL and MLB GMs who still laugh at this story 2 years later b/c of how mild his "infractions" were.
