Exclamation Longest Streak of Appearing in the AP Football Poll
Saw this today...

Ohio State 56 straight years, more than twice as long as any others! Many of us have literally never seen a season when Ohio State wasn't ranked at least one week!

Wisconsin??? is tied for second for 27 with Georgia. The last year neither wasn't ranked was 1996. Oregon has 26.

How about USC? 22 in a row. Lane Kiffin's tenure was in that 22 years right? He's not that old. How many head coaches has USC had in those 22 years? Of course ranked at least one week in the AP poll is a low bar, especially if you're USC.

Alabama has "only" 17. They weren't ranked at all in 2006.

Ohio State is the model of consistency. There's a reason why John Cooper got fired after repeatedly going 8-3 and losing to Michigan. This year, they went 11-2, lost to Michigan and lost the bowl game, and the season is considered a failure.

The bar is really high there. But they're always good.

At some point in the season Saban's Bama teams were ranked #1 in 15-17 years. That's likely AP. Per Joel Klatt.
