66- better go back and read your post. To paraphase, you stated there was millions of dollars available for athlectics and ETSU has never tried to get this money or the people charged with procuing these millions were incompetent.

Your words not mind.

Money, money, where to get money, empty seats, empty seats, fcs teams that moved up have failed, incorrect athlectic budget numbers, what type of players are in the transfer portal. Your comments and questions seem to be coming from someone that is not aware, educated or just critical of todays ever changing college athletic landscape.

ETSU has been left behind and is falling further behind. Those have been my words for years. Now those words are coming from the most important people responsible for making decisions for the future of ETSU Athlectics, Dr Sander and Dr Nolan.

Buc Nation or whomever wants to have winning teams in the money sports, need to be a major part of the solution.

Let's see, major donors becoming targets for the malcontent. Yep, that'll keep the money flowing in.

76. Wow - you’ve dropped off the deep end. You have me confused with yourself. You’re the one that has been saying that there’s money out there for the asking — that people will open their pocketbooks if ETSU had the right leadership in place to go get it. And it could be you that doesn't seem to comprehend this ever changing college athletic landscape. All these peer schools that have been “moving up” over the past 20+ years are NOT making money and are about to be dropped on their heads by the big boys. They are actually spending more money - much of it on the backs of student athletic fees — but will never be legitimate FBS football schools - with a very few exceptions. Their pretentiousness is about to come crashing down as the big boys are moving ever closer to separating from them and leaving them in the dust. Then, they’ll essentially be back in the same boat as ETSU. Their faking it till you make it didn’t pay off as envisioned. A day is coming when ETSU and their former brethren will be back together. Finally — Buc Nation needs to be part of what solution in this radically changing college athletics world?

Not going to argue with you but you conveniently left out the most important point that my statements have centered around. 'If ETSU offered a better product that would open pocketbooks'.

Your statement that all the FBS schools, except for the P3, P4 or whatever they decide to call themselves, will fall back to the FCS level is completely misguided.

Can you elaborate on what these free range universities will do? The TV revenue is being soaked up by the P2+2.

What is a free range university? I'm not familiar with that description. I'm not playing games with you, just asking for info.

Those FBS schools that aren't in the P2+2. They are roaming the range like cattle trying to find enough to eat. In their case they are roaming the range trying to find enough money to survive after the P2+2 universities have taken all the TV revenue.

And also the twelve play off spots.

And - what will become of those non-playoff FBS bowls? My guess — these non-P2+2 (presently) schools roaming the range looking for food will also need water, and those multiple no nothing bowls they’ve been chasing will end up as dry holes.

This new playoff set up increases the obvious that this thing called FBS football is as fake as a three dollar bill. If it was really one division - then this would be a 9-3 playoff set up. The nine (presently) conference champs would be guaranteed automatic bids with three at large selections.

The Athletic

Who would have made the 2023 Playoffs in a 5+7 model?

Under the 5+7 model, No. 1 Michigan (Big Ten), No. 2 Washington (Pac-12), No. 3 Texas (Big 12), No. 4 Alabama (SEC) and No. 5 Florida State (ACC) would have landed automatic spots if the 12-team Playoff began in 2023.

No. 6 Georgia, No. 7 Ohio State, No. 8 Oregon, No. 9 Missouri, No. 10 Penn State, No. 11 Ole Miss and No. 12 Oklahoma would have earned the seven remaining bids.

Yep. The new reality. Even the NCAA is powerless to stop the money schools from buying everything.
