Rockets get 4 offensive boards on the same trip down court, before Rinat finally drains a three.

48-34 UT. TO Ohio.

63-50 final. Rockets D really relaxed the last 4 minutes or so and Ohio made it closer than it was.

RE: WBB vs Ohio Game Thread
Goss 15
Hannah 12
Rinat 11
Wiard 8
Sammi 8
Barnes 4
Garcia 3
Cook 2

Garcia 11 boards.
Hannah and Goss 9 boards each.

Wiard 5 assists. Goss 4

Rockets shot better from 3, 39%, than from 2. Lots and lots of layups missed by several players.

On the boards, UT wins 52-29. Rockets had 29 offensive boards alone, as many as Ohio's total boards.

It gets much, much harder now, with the next 2 games at Kent and at Ball State. Rockets need to play much better than this to have any hopes of winning those 2. Q was dressed and did reportedly participate in warmups, but she was still wearing a brace.

Ball State handled BG easily today, 76-61 at home.
Kent plays NIU tomorrow on TV.

RE: WBB vs Ohio Game Thread
Way too many turnovers was my first reaction. Upon further refection the defense picked up forcing OU to shoot further beyond the three point line in the second half for the most part. Rebounding was excellent on both ends. Overall, the depth of this team was an important part of this win. It appears that they ever changing line up is still getting trying to get comfortable knowing where everyone is on the offensive end. The help defense is really good. Shot selection is good but shot confidence is still below where it needs to be with the calibre of players. Sounds like Q is close to stepping back on the court. She may be held out until Sunday's game at Ball State or see limited action next Wednesday.

This team has just not looked good this season with or without Q. Not sure why but with all the returning talent they are unable to duplicate the efficiency on the court they demonstrated the last two seasons. Next week we will get an idea of whether they are a serious contender for the league championship or are going to be a major disappointment.

Regardless of the percentages, if theres no Janson or Q on the floor we are gona be more sloppy and less efficient. Defensively? The teams we are playing are worse than usual.

Goss played a good game today. Soph stepped back and didn't have to do much. Nann stepped up on the defensive and rebounding side of it.
