FFS, an air traffic controller / tower should NEVER be using google to check the terminology of anything related to aviation. She should be suspended/disciplined for just saying she did that.

Thats hard to do for certain employees. They basically have to show up to the tower higher than Hunter Biden after a 3 day coke binge for that to happen.

I do credit the pilot for even apologizing in case he was wrong. That was professional, even though he was clearly thinking this person doesnt have a clue as to what she was saying.

I may try to look up to ee if the pilot filed a report on her.

I havent looked up to see if she was right or wrong, however, the fact that she didnt give him a phone number to call for possible pilot deviation probably means she wasnt sure.
