I suspect this is mostly precautionary and he'll be back for BGSU on Tuesday.

Thanks for the info. I really hope you are right that Tyson Acuff returns for Bowling Green. Much different team without him.

Also noted McGriff has not played in this game either. He rolled his ankle in the Hampton game.

Where is Kevin David Rice?

I don’t know, but assume he has been on some kind of long term or recurring injury. Otherwise he clearly would have been needed in this game.

I’m standing on my original prediction that we win 5 MAC games.

You may be right, but the MAC is pretty weak. Few dominant teams and plenty of mediocrity.

If EMU gets healthy and plays well, then they could win more. If not, then <5 is possible.

I'd hope Heath can guide them to 9-9 in the MAC! This is the weakest MAC basketball has been in awhile! Toledo is down, N Illinois is similar to last season, W Mich, C Mich are both worse then us, Ball St isn't great either! Akron is very solid, Kent St is down, Ohio U is good, Bowling Green currently is doing much better then expected, Buffalo is way down, Miami is okay! EMU can compete with almost everyone except Akron on paper! If Heath wins 6-7 MAC games, and finishes with only 13-15 wins then he absolutely needs to be let go...! We played a very weak OOC schedule as well!
My prediction is 9 or 10 MAC wins! Happy new year to everyone on this board! Great people on here!

I picked up a couple so I can see extra game- and get to check out the Stroh’s Center which I hear is nice.

'79 has a degree in marketing, maybe he can explain $1 tickets. 03-idea

I hope it isn't $1 tickets and $15 parking. 03-lmfao

They want a full house. Might make it up on concessions parking and merch sales. If folks like the experience repeat customers. Great deal.

Agree 100%! EMU should do this for one game every year early in the season.

The costs of staging a game at The Gervin are for the most part, fixed or sunk. Utilities, ticket sales, security, etc... are already baked into every event. Accommodating a larger crowd will only increase necessary staffing costs by a marginal amount that will most likely be covered by the discounted tickets. A larger crowd only improves the fan experience and makes it more likely that you convert that $1 fan into a regular customer.

There, is indeed zero reason to do this more than once. Otherwise, why would anyone entertain buying season tickets or attending a game paying face value for tickets?
