Swamp Justice?
You Floridians should appreciate this one. I never thought I'd be cheering the Gators on!

Quote:The invasive pythons plaguing South Florida feed on alligators, so Floridians offer no pretense of sympathy in those rare instances when a gator turns the tables.

That happened Wednesday, Dec. 20, in the Shark Valley area of Everglades National Park, when a 10- or 11-foot alligator was seen trying to swallow an equally large python.

RE: Swamp Justice?
Yikes. My ex step-son brought a python of some kind with him when he and his mom moved here. It's name was Steve. When it first arrived it was no longer than my arm. When I finally decided it was time to get rid of it it had grown to over 7 feet long and could not be contained. I built a corner enclosure for it but had to have a way to get in it to feed the thing. It got so strong that nothing I did would keep it in. I'd come home and the cat would be flitting around the house nervously so I knew I'd have to go round up the nasty vile creature. That thing could hide in places you'd never expect. I finally ended up selling it to some other unsuspecting soul. Never again.

How many mice did you feed it at a time?

I know you can eat snakes but are these creatures palatable? Someone needs to come up with a recipe to lure more hunters for them.

I don't think they are particularly tasty, but Florida does a yearly contest on who can remove the most
