Another no-name bowl sponsor. I wonder where some of these guys get the money to sponsor a bowl game. Starbucks I get. Scooters?

...did Traylor get dunked in the cold brew or whatever these Scooter guys hawk? I guess that would be better than the Mayo dunk...

I just don't see Bear Bryant, Tom Osbourne, Bo Schembechler, etc... partaking in something like that... ...would YOU have wanted to be the one to attempt to pour a tub of mayo over Woody Hayes' noggin? 04-jawdrop03-lmfao

I read where some of these ESPN bowl sponsorships start at $500,000. I figure that's what Famous Toastery paid, especially since that bowl was moved from the Bahamas to Charlotte on short notice.

Scooter's probably didn't pay much more than that.

Some of these bowls tend to have year-to-year sponsorships, as well, so it's easy for them to not renew.

Bottom line is, before a few days ago I had never heard of Scooter's Coffee or Famous Toastery, and now I have.

Whether that means money for them or not is TBD, but brand awareness is step one.

RE: Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl: Marshall vs UTSA
The Frisco Bowl is trash. I went two years ago when North Texas faced Miami OH, and hated it. Very small time feel. Not a bowl atmosphere at all. So, I didn't return last year when the Mean Green faced Boise State.

UTSA started slow, but really had their way with Marshall once they got going. Lots of starters out for both teams. I guess the AAC backup talent is superior to the Sun Belt's backup talent. The Sun Belt isn't having a very good bowl season for a conference that proclaimed they are supplanting the AAC as the top non-autonomous conference. I guess the AAC is still top dog.
