CCSU
After a tough loss to UVA last weekend, NU is back on the court tonight at Central Connecticut State.

I know nothing about CCSU other than they play in the NEC, but regardless this is a game NU needs to win.

I think they win, it won’t be easy, but they’ll win this one.

I still have no idea why we’re playing this team at their place. We should never visit a NEC team.

RE: CCSU
Agreed on all, especially playing at a NEC school.

CCSU notable games are an 11 point L to URI (common opponent), a 29 point L to UMass, an 11 point W vs H Cross and a 14 point. L to the Earl Grant's pack of frauds (all teams I at least know something about). Last game was a 3 point win against a decent Lowell team so this one will be close it seems.

This 9 minute, 21-2 stretch for CCSU may be one of the worst stretches of basketball I've seen. And there are a LOT of candidates over the past 3 years.

Well, we got lucky in my opinion. We played with absolutely no intensity for 30 minutes but came back with a run of our own. We burned our timeouts early to draw up throwing it down to Chris for impossible attempts. Anyway, we will count this on the good side of the ledger for close game execution as we made our free throws and defended OK down the stretch. We may not be a bad team, but we sure aren’t a good one in my opinion.

The game played out how I thought it would. We look like we're going to blow them out, then go cold while they go on a ridiculous early 2nd half run, and then it becomes a barnburner as we get back into the game.

We have to learn how to win, especially close games with the sophomores.

Despite the win... I STILL have no idea why we went down there.

I complimented them for their defensive effort against UVA but they waited way too long to ramp up that level of intensity tonight. Yeah, this was a positive "close game execution" ledger entry. It was also a positive in the "not folding when things go really bad" category. Coming back from the big deficit is something we've done six or seven times this year.... unlike last year.

I haven't seen the box score yet but without another big game from Chris we don't win this game.

The color guy mentioned that we only got three foul shots against UVA. He didn't
mention that UVA got eighteen foul shots.

And another game where Nwagha doesn't play.

Soph update: Another good outing for the youngsters. Forty points on forty-eight percent shooting from the field and eighty-two percent from the line.
