RE: Jack Smith Violates Court Order
I remember Rush saying that he had reliable information that Comey and the deep state thought they could bully Trump into resigning. The time line Rush gave was six weeks. They didn’t and Comey was canned. From that moment on Trump was target numero uno for the unelected crowd. It continues to this day. This is why I am voting Trump. I just hope if he wins he makes it to the Oval Office alive.

All that is going on now is the same tactic. They think they can bully him into giving up. They won’t.

The immunity claim by Trump completely bent Jack Smith over. The DOJ waited until the last minute to pursue this case so that the Obama judge would suck Smiths d*ck and set the trial date to just at the primary season, as to get maximum election interference. (Which she did) But the immunity claim derailed all of it, because if Trump does have immunity, it is illegal for Smith to request things from Trump on the matter.

So Smith would be ok with either ruling; either grant Trump immunity or dont. If they didnt, Smith could proceed and try to keep the trial date as March 6. If the SC said Trump DOES have immunity, then Smith would drop this case and run to Aileen Cannon and tell her he's ready to start that case in March.

This was the worst possible outcome, because without a ruling he cant proceed on this case, and Aileen Cannon will tell him to get bent if he tries to start the other case up without this one being resolved.

Quote:CNN - The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a request by special counsel Jack Smith to fast-track arguments on whether Donald Trump has any immunity from federal prosecution for alleged crimes he committed while in office – a move that will likely delay his trial.

The court did not explain its reasoning and there were no noted dissents.

The court’s decision is a major blow to Smith, who made an extraordinary gamble when he asked the justices to take the rare step of skipping a federal appeals court and quickly deciding a fundamental issue in his election subversion criminal case against Trump.

Both sides will still have the option of appealing an eventual ruling by the DC Circuit Court of Appeals up to the high court, but the court’s move is a major victory for Trump, whose strategy of delay in the criminal case included mounting a protracted fight over the immunity question, which must be settled before his case goes to trial.

An expedited review of the issue is already underway at the DC Circuit, which has scheduled oral arguments for January 9. The election subversion trial is currently set to begin in March.

In urging the court to not take the case, Trump’s attorneys argued the special counsel was trying to “rush to decide the issues with reckless abandon.”

“The fact that this case arises in the vortex of political dispute warrants caution, not haste,” Trump attorneys wrote in court papers.

Trump’s team had asked the appeals court earlier this month to examine the immunity ruling issued by District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing his criminal case.

Chutkan had rejected arguments from Trump’s attorneys that the criminal indictment should be thrown out because he was working to “ensure election integrity” as part of his official capacity as president when he allegedly undermined the 2020 election results, and therefore is protected under presidential immunity. The judge has paused all procedural deadlines in the case while the appeal plays out.

But Smith’s team sought to bypass the appeals court’s review of the matter by having the justices step in now.

The part in bold isnt exactly correct. His immunity must be decided before Smith can force Trump into depositions, etc. Because under presidential immunity, you arent allowed to do any of this, including taking depositions, etc.

Uhhh..... prosecutors cannot depose criminal defendants.

Quote:Hey Tom, does this count as me being right 1% of the time? Looks like you and tainq went down hard on this one.

Well.... you are the dude jumping up and down about 'deposing criminal defendants' and garbage like that.
