Claude is supremely talented though hasn't been a very good shooter. Olivari can fill it. McKnight is fine. On the right night their back court/wings can play with us.

Uc recruited Trey Green for a while but decided they wanted a different type of pg and went and got Jizzle. Green is supposed to have an elite 3 point shot but hasn't shown it yet.

Swain is their most talented kid but he's 17 and hard to depend on this early.

They don't have the horses inside. They are really dependent on their wings/ guards drawing fouls and getting to the line for their offense.

I think they have an nit roster right now but it's a lot of new pieces and they've been really inconsistent.

OK I admit that I am not the most experienced at online sports betting, but I have always managed to place my losing bets easy enough in the past.
However I have not been able to find the UC/XU game on either Draft King or Fan Duel all week.

Why not until tonight after 8 pm?
I have bet on games a few days in advance before.

RE: Cincinnati vs Xavier Game Thread
it is just a general observation on my part. No rules are in place. I just don't usually see lines for games the next day until the evening before. It may be different today, as games tonight are usually Ivy and the books may want to get started early.

Most college basketball game lines are available either the night before a game or the day of. Now and then there are exceptions but not often.

Here's hoping that's as accurate as all those games Bearcat football was favored to win this year. 05-stirthepot

It doesn't really bother me but local TV isn't all atwitter about the Shootout this season. In the past, the buildup to the game all week in the hometown media was really over the top.

I'd prefer it this way. It's a good non-conference matchup for both teams from a national perspective but it's not Duke vs. North Carolina by any measure.

Not even the ludicrous home whistle they will get will save them. I plan on mercilessly pointing and laughing by 8:30 pm.

Over under on Vic's 1st ghost foul called is the 18:47 mark.

I was listening to a Xavier podcast with Rick and an even worse Xavier homer and they were mocking UC fans talk about the Cintas Center whistle. The one guy even took the time to go back and add up fouls home and away over the last 10 shootout. It was the funniest part of the podcast because UC had committed a few more fouls than X at the Shoe (not many but a few), while UC has committed like 30 more fouls than X at Cintas. Just absolutely exactly on point to everything we worry about there.

Vik already has 2 fouls ~ 26 hours before tip off....he might have three by tip.

RE: Cincinnati vs Xavier Game Thread
First year in a long time that I've even been remotely optimistic before the X game. IMO, if UC can throw the ball or drive the ball inside and then kick it out to the 3 point sharp shooters, especially CJ Fredrick, it will force X's defense to not defend the 3 point line and force X's bigs to play one on one down low. If UC's play makers just try to force it inside I can see UC struggling on the road early and X settling into a series of varied zone looks to help their bigs by sagging into the middle. I've watched a number of BXII teams so far and the biggest diff I see between them and UC is that the other teams tend to play inside out early in games and then go inside once the defense spreads out. UC tends to try to shoot 3 early and then force the ball inside if the shots aren't falling or when the D adjusts. Part of that is due to Aziz being ineligible early so I hope the adjustment to him being in the lineup continues tomorrow.

Say what you will, but at least he respects the rivalry enough to take it seriously...

Unlike at least one previous UC coach who took it as "just another game" and basically blamed UC fans for getting upset at losing to Xavier year after year.

I'm not going to talk smack until and unless we come away with a win. Because we always seem to run into a Xavier player or two who has a lifetime type of night against us.

I'm not pointing to you specifically but that's the problem with many UC fans. They're so beat down they make conditions on IF they will talk smack or get up for the game. If Xavier beats us by 20 points I'll still hate that school, their team and their coach. It's called a rivalry for a reason!

Mick took the rivalry seriously but he struggled overall [5-8] and made excuses. John Cooper did the same thing at Ohio State when he couldn't beat Michigan.
